I had a 2003 ec 300 that was Kansas tagged ser# vtrec300d1124012 and a 2005 ec 300 ser# vtrec300f0844029. If would be nice if they would be returned. The 2003 is the bike I won the overall on in the FMHS championship. It has sentimental value and I never intended to get rid of it. I'm pretty sure I will never see them again. I would like to find bikes to replace them. Nada is way too low to replace these bikes from what I found. I don't know where they get there numbers. The bike were insured through Progressive. I'm curious to see if they make it right.

can you put up pictures ?? someone on here may see them..

watch the used bike classifieds.. some nice rides in there

Lowest of the low. Sorry about that. Keep your eys on ebay and Craiglist for part outs and ask for ser#s.

Sorry to hear that. Many bikes are stolen by kids and can be found in the woods not far from where they are stolen from.

Good luck.

I am going to follow this thread because I too have Progressive insurance. I often wonder about the no title bikes on ebay and the part outs from forum members who are new and have like 3 posts. At least with a GasGas you there isn't hundreds of used ones on the market.

Sorry to read that. Good luck with your insurance company and with getting the bikes back. Man I hate a thief!

I imagine once they find out there not yamaha's They are going to be bummed. I've been staying kind of silent on the local seen in hopes that someone will try to sell them to someone that knows me. It happen once before with my son's bike. I am a man with many friends and acquaintances, and having a girls name and fronting a strange bike like a Gasgas makes me stand out.

i feel your pain had a kx 250 stole from me when i was younger hope you catch the S O B that stole them

Where in Kansas? I had a KDX stolen from our ranch that straddles the state line between LaCygne, KS and Amsterdam, MO a few years ago. Haven't seen anything of it since. Bummer.

That sucks. Have you spread the word to all the dealers around? Post a wanted to buy ad where you can? Who knows maybe they are dumb in addition to being scumbags.

Here's hoping you get them back.

So I heard your SEAL friends are back in the States. :p

I got my 2003 300 back. The 2005 is still on the loose. One of my friends found the bike. It had been well abused while it was away. It looked like it was being riden a the spark plud cap came off and it was dumped where it quit running. Progressive is taking a look at it next week. The pipe is almost flatened and pushed back. It mellted the radiator hose and there was no coolant in it. I'm not too mad. I would have been happy with just the frame since It is street titled.

Well that's semi-good news I guess. Hopefully you'll get your 2005 back. High on my list of things that burn me up are theiving scum. Here's hoping karma will visit them in a big way.

The bike I got back was very dear to me. I won the the 2004 FMHSC championship on it. At a real nasty race that year. One of the National riders showed up [Justin Williamson], Well Its my Al Bundy 3 touch downs in a single game story. I really love thinking about that race. I rode like a dream, and the bike helps me relive it. I've raced against him a few times since then and he beats me pretty bad. I had a lot of people look up to me after that race.

I am glad you got your bike back!!!! You cant replace sentimental value.Hopefully you get lucky and get your other one back to.

Its always good to see a stolen bike returned to the owner, regardless of condition, especially if it has sentimental value like yours does.

My boss had his RM125 stolen off the back of his ute while it was locked up in his apartment complex, that was a year or so ago. The other day it popped up on the NZ version of ebay/craigslist and it was listed as a "2012 RM powerband", only had 5 gears for some reason, and all the plastics had been painted black. Whoever had it clearly had no idea what they had, it had a few expensive bling items, like the ohlins 2.1 damper, full pro circuit system, yellow rims and a few other things. All of which were still on it when it went up for sale, so it was pretty easy to identify.

Hopefully your other bike will turn up too
