My suspension problem

-20cc of oil from each leg in my '10 EC300 Sachs forks did the trick in the choppy stuff. 10 out comp. 11 out rebound. Better than any stock forks IMHO>... :D

Well I got my first real ride on my Sachs-equipped EC today and have to say I'm pleasantly surprised with the suspension as well. Some things I'm not liking but save that for another thread. I played on the top (dry) part of my loop today. This section is fairly fast and clear of rocks, but there are a few square-edges and drop offs. The bike stayed planted really well and I immediately noticed the front end was soaking up stuff way better than I expected. So I started aiming for the nastiest bits and it actually soaked everything up about as good as the $900 Factory Connection WP setup on my KTM. And, it soaked up the landings way better. I definitely have to spend more time on it, but it felt good enough for me to feel pretty confident immediately. It will be interesting to see my lap times on the stock suspension vs. the KTM once I can get the thing jetted to run decent.

There's a place in western Mass with no rocks?

Actually it's probably not worth its own thread. Anyone else catch their boots on the left side airbox cover? It's taylor made to hook up a pair of Sidi's.

When I get back from Arizona in a couple weeks I'll get some clips of the bike on my "rock free" loop to share. Not sure how I can share the beer and pie on the internet though. :D

Yeah, one place and it's the Southwick MX track :D

Us New England guys idea of no rocks is probably VERY different because of the pounding we've taken over the years

I certainly agree that a New England guy's idea of "no rocks" is waaaaay different that my idea of "no rocks"! :)

I'm working on something for this problem...out of carbon fiber...shouldn't be too expensive to make..it will attach with rivets...

Excellent. If they will be for sale keep me posted. I was actually envisioning something riveted to it myself. It led to a couple interesting moments on my first ride, so I have to come up with something.

One of my riding buddies is a die hard pumpkin fan . But he is always coming up with excuses to ride my GG.:D I even change a clicker setting and he says it probably changed the whole bike so he has to try it out...I still wont ride his pumpkin.LOL

I rode my husbands new 2005 EXC200 Pumpkin when he had it- it was a nice bike but didn't suit my riding style. He is now on an '08 Kawi KLX450 and loves it,I think he will drink the red kool aid in a couple years though. I like having something different that preforms well
