Need help buying a new bike pls

Agreed jakobi. Thank you clay. I appreciate the offer. I can't except for free but I will contact you if I decide the gaser is the way to go. Thx for all the replys. This is a great forum!

Did you turn down something for free? That's never happened before with an off road guy!:D

My biggest problem now is the linkage and lower shock eye getting the crap beat out of them. It is a real concern as it happens on every ride and I'm worried about destroying the shock mount. I'm in the process of designing a link skid made from HDPE as I need something fast. Hopefully Scorpion will come through with another production run of their parts, I should have grabbed one of the first ones. If your terrain is less extreme this will not be a problem.

Please keep in mind that Glenn rides in stuff that would make most of us give up riding! I'm not sure that God intended for man to ride a motorcycle where he rides!
I have a practice trail with a 12 inch log that is 6 inches off of the ground. That log is the only place where I hit my linkage!

Let me clarify again that this is not a bash on the bike, its linkage is the norm now and some of my terrain is not! The KTM linkage is a lot lower, especially the shock mount, it hangs like the balls on a male pitbull. The old GG linkage was just higher like the old KX250s. The big plus is the rocks are not nipping at your toes all the time now.

There is an enduro in PA in the next couple weeks I usually do because its really rocky and rough like home and I do fairly well, so I'm trying to track down an unsold Scorpion link skid as well as come up with my own.

Clay, I don't know about god but I do know the man doesn't intend me to ride where I ride!:D

Stolen from another thread..

i just bought a 2012 GasGas 300 EC (XC in the states) and couldn't be more happy with it. I've owned 4 KDX 200's in the 90's and didn't think any bike could handle tight trails better. I have now ridden the GG twice and i am very impressed with its ability's. I'm 6'2, 205lbs dry and i thought it would be severely under sprung for my weight. Not the case so far. All i have done is set the sag and ride it. The dealer i bought it from changed the fork seals because the ones from the factory are stiff till about 10 hours of break in. However i hear from other gg riders the factory seals are great (tho stiff at first) and after the 10 hr break in period they never leak. I'm not a fast rider but when i raced enduro i was a fairly successful B rider. Never a win but a few podiums (all on KDX's BTW). I am super impressed with the gassers' chassis. It just seems to be very well balanced. It goes where i point it period with no hint of head shake at high speed. I have no remorse buying the GasGas. I've wanted a 300cc smoker for years and drooled over all the KTM's i saw on the trail. With 2 rides now on the GasGas I've seen a few riders start salivating at the site of my bike. 1 of which was on a EXC 300. Fun stuff!

CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER! :D ;) :D

Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks to Brad for buying his 2012 Gasser from us, and thanks to all the fantastic, level headed, straight shootin' advice you all gave! The members of this forum are truly heads and taillights above any other forum I have dealt with- I hope you guys realize how awesome you are, and as always a big Thanks to Clay for all his input.
