New aftermarket gasgas product ideas. Things you would like to see?

Hello, I have been considering creating a niche hobby buisness designing and producing dirtbike parts that no larger companies are currently producing. I have some ideas that are not gasgas specific but thought maybe there are some products that are seen on other makes that gasgas riders would be interested in. I have a mechanical engineering degree and have experience creating prototypes and one off products in various industries from robotics to biomedical. However Ive wanted to use this knowledge to create products I am more passionate about. I have 3D modeling software and have local machine shops and anodizing shops that ive worked with for past projects. So I was just wondering what suggestions people might have for products that could have atleast enough interest to do a small production run of say 25-50 pieces. Could be anything from useful parts to just "bling" stuff. Im currently on an 07' ec300 that i can test parts on, also have access to a 00' 250 and possibly other bikes if need be. Thanks for any help!

Magnetic drain bolts with a regular hex head instead of the stock recessed allen on the stock bolt. Same for the oil fill hole.

Wheel spacers are the only "wear" item that I can think of that's not readily available on the aftermarket. I would love to have a source for those.

shorty levers, shift and brake pedals, ALUMINUM skid-plate-pipe-guard combo that will bolt onto the frame.

Front and rear disc guards would be nice.
This one is off of a WR Husky that I had to mortify.

hand hold on back of bike it is hard to get a good grip on my 2009 250

Which bushing? I'm talking about a lot of side to side sloop in both places it attaches, "pivot" and "actuation".

Rich at Smith Power Sports machined a new bushing that solves that problem.
Works really well. I have one on my bike.

Keg at Mainjet, one of the site sponsors(I think), sells axle pullers. I can personally recommend them.
Cheers Mark

Guys, just to reel this in, the OP is talking about machined hard parts, not seats and wheels.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. A good brake pedal with bearings and tight tolerances would be a good product to test the waters. Like GMP mentioned machined hardparts is probably the extent of my abilities at this time. Possibly some light fabrication and welding. Also could get into shifter/case saver/ things like that. I am curious if a site such as gofasters would be interested in stocking parts such as these after seeing a prototype. That would make it much easier to determine batch size and not take a loss.

Products, products products

Many of the items suggested here are already for sale for a long time now, just maybe the marketing of those products hasn't been good enough. A lot more product is in the works as well. While there is a surge in bike sales, the market doesn't justify 3-4 different company's making the same product....YET.

Available already,

Front wheel spacers, rear wheel spacers, axle pulls, hardened bushing for the rear brake pedal, shift levers, short clutch n brake levers, complete wheel kits, the list goes on. skid plates (plastic n aluminum) many versions of radiator guards, two different chain guides, Elka rear shocks, etc,etc...., a new company called Ransom machine works has made some beautiful product, case guard, fancy pv cover, clutch cover, ignition cover,

Available soon from EE, rotor guards, radiator guards, new seats, Bulletproof is making some product. We are working on a rear brake lever, some things for the new E-start and so on.

Available December 1st will be a new "powerparts catalog" at your local dealer. This will only be digital for now until all the new product coming down the pipeline is finished, then it will be in a hard copy form (around March).

I may have missed some things on here so feel free to contact me.

It doesn't matter to me if someone else has already made one, if you can make it better at a better price I'll buy one from you. Free enterprise at it's best is best.
