New aftermarket gasgas product ideas. Things you would like to see?

The problem is that the market is not big enough to make a product someone else is making because it wont sell fast enough to justify large enough batch sizes to make it affordable. My goal was to find some items that are not available. It looks like a lot of the common items are or soon will be available. Also considering my lack of abilty to market items, it would be important to have a product a site such as gofasters would be interested in having listed online so that people can see its available. But it seams that they already have a supply or will soon have a supply for many of the parts people are looking for. But ill keep brainstorming...

One thing I think just about all Gas Gas owners would buy is a set of fasteners for the plastic and trim that would enable us to use one size "T" handle to work on most things on the trail without bringing a roll around tool box. On that same topic a good high quality brand specific multi-tool for trail repairs. Most I have seen is sub-par China garbage.

my wish list

I would love an ultra silent exhaust system with variable power demand such as more torque for the twisty stuff, more high end for open, flat out tracks/trails. I'll be your test dummy with my 03 ec 250 if you can pull this one off. There are thousands of threads on as many sites looking for this holy grail of reduced noise without reduction in power. Surely a challenge worthy of your talents?

i can do that... every plastic part on my bike comes off with an m5 allen.

although sometimes trees/roots/logs/shrubs/other riders take my plastic parts off with no tools.

My 03 has torx, allens and hex all of different sizes

hahaha there must be a thing with 03's. mine has every type of fastener imaginable and no two are the same. it drives me NUTS! i might invest in some of stainless's products, when i get the money.

How about a Bolt on Pipe cage ?

nobody makes one anymore that i am aware of and i dont want to fabricate and weld one to my nice gold frame , but if there was a bolt on one i would be very interested

great Idea...Here in Hawaii you see them on a lot of bikes, my buddy has one on his 09 300.

Hello all, i've been following this site for a few years now, i'm on the east coast of Australia and do most of my inquiries on DBW, until now. I want an aftermarket fuel cap that doesn't drop its internals, i want a chain guide/protector better than original and a guard for the rear disc brake. As far as pipe guards go, whipps here in Oz used to make an awesome aluminium pipe guard for 2 stroke pipes, however due to demand they don't make anything for a GG (ie: no demand for GG pipe guards). Maybe some overseas inquiries might sway their mind. www.whipps.com.au

Protect made a great under bar damper mount but I think they might be out of bussiness, they shut down through the summer and Ive been trying to reach them for a couple of months now with no success. Their damper mount realy opened up the rider area so its not so cramped.

Other things I'd buy:
front and rear disk guards
chain guide
something to help cool rear brake
zerk fitting linkage grease kit
tank adapter for drybrake or clarke fast gas

I'm fairly certain that Mainjet doesn't manufacture pipe guards, unless Keg and the boys have started up a new side line in the last couple of months.

We don't offer the pipe guards any more. PRP engineering used to make them for GasGas (They still make them for KTM) but after the Gasser expansion chamber change in 2008 'I think' they didn't fit. We modified a few but took a bit of time.

The guards was the price of an FMF gnarly so it didn't seem much sense in trying to get another manufacturer.

Wheel spacers are the only "wear" item that I can think of that's not readily available on the aftermarket. I would love to have a source for those.

I talked to Les at LT-Racing and he did one production run of stainless steel wheel spacers a long while back; He still has a few left.
