Coming off an 09 300 KTM. Picked up a 2011 Gasser EC 250 yesterday. Was a demo that has less than 10 hours on it. Other than EE handguards, bike is completely stock. Looking for any and all ideas for "must have" add ons, etc. Will be riding SETRA enduro series on the bike. Thanks for the help.

Pull the carb and check the float heights and current jets. Then you'll know where to head/what to change if you need to dial it in.

I'm assuming its running the Ohlins 888/Marz 45mms? Most people have had to have some work done to get the most out of the forks. If its a 250R it will have the 48mm zokes and you probably won't need to do much at all.

Pipe guard/bash plate/rad guards are all part of the setup for me.

If you're really looking to get the most out of this engine, measure the squish and then send the head off to get machined. RB gets top reviews from all. You'll gain power all over and get better economy.

In saying that you could probably just ride the bike the way it is and be happy! Just depends what you're looking for.

Thanks....

Bike feels like the jetting is spot-on. Have ordered a pipe guard, skid plate, and hooked up the e-start. Wow, much better starter with the e-start than on my 09 300 KTM. Will be getting ready for the rad dad enduro....
