can anybody tell me who is the oem for 13 200 piston.i was under the impression it was wossner(kit around $200nz).however dealer quoted me $370 for oem piston kit,but couldn't tell me manufacturer.big difference in price, whats the difference if any in piston?also told me to leave until 80hrs,currently around 55,was planning on 60hr topend.thanks for your advice

Hi,
I put a wossner in my 2010 EC300 (ebay). It was much lighter than the OEM I took out. Mine had about 100hrs on it. I could have put it back & done 100 more. 200cc would be lower hours though.

I could be wrong, but I think the oem piston is Vertex(quality cast piston)
The Wossner is a quality forged piston, for the price difference I would go with it.
Wiseco also has a forged piston kit reasonable price in US.
I wouldn't worry about going 80 hr on the piston unless it's sucked any water/dirt. Easy to pull the pipe and check for blow by or any scoring.

This.

Stock pistons are cast Vertex. I always go with forged Wossners for replacement - can get them at a decent price point.

Off topic, my 2010 engine had a vesrah rod, my 2013 model has a pro-x.

thanks for the clarification and advice on that.can I assume a wossner A will be correct spec to replace oem then?barrel is stamped A.arent there diff tolerances for forged v cast pistons?will be my 1st 2t topend since my old pe175 some 25 years ago,so memory a little rusty.seems logical to me that if barrel is A spec(disregarding wear for the moment)that both forged A and cast A pistons will correctly fit,yet be slightly different sizes.is this correct?
thanks (again)gotta love this forum!

You'll be just fine with the Wossner A piston. Always good practice to check ring end gap and piston to cylinder clearance during assembly. Follow piston manufactures spec. Forged pistons tend to run slightly more clearance, but were only talking 00.01 mm

Vesrah was oem install in '10?
my '08 has vesrah too. Since I bought it 2nd hand, I thought it was already replaced, since it is a cheaper brand.
