hello,
Ive replaced linkage bearings and taken out swingarm cleaned greased and all was looking good put it back together and there was still play which I traced to the upper spherical bearing at the top of the rear shock on a 2006 gas gas ec 250. no probs I thought just order a new one. It is that worn I could just push it out from the shock - please confirm its like any other bearing and should be nice and tight in there?

I found this one but seems very expensive http://www.hainesmc.co.uk/ccm_spares_main_section/swingarm_and_rear_suspension/ at ?44 delievered.

no probs Ill look elsewhere but so many seem to be listed as lower shock mount but look like there the upper mount such as this one.

and then I found one that is not the kit just the bearing but im not sure what size I need for my model?

any help appreciated!

Did you ever figure out what the right part is? I also have a 2006 EC250.

I'm in the same situation have play that seems to come from the upper shock mount. I can't for the life of me figure out where or what it is I need to purchase. Afraid to push out what is in the shock body just yet, worried I'll destroy something as I can't exactly tell what it is that is in there.

Call Ohlins, their technicians are very helpful. The shock mounts (atleast on my 2013 EC300R have two bushings on either side with a spherical bearing in the center.

Is that the spherical bearing?

The sachs also has one at the top shock mount. I was feeling some play there but couldn't find one anywhere, except from china. While i was waiting for it to arrive i packed in some belray grease in there and it seems to have been all that was needed. still have the chinese spare

It just looks like a couple bushings and some rubber to me. Hard to tell though, I can't be sure if it safe to push out or if it has a lip in the center it sits on like wheel bearings.

Thinking about this more I should probably have the shock serviced, so I guess I'll let the suspension tuner figure it out.
