overflow starting again after needle change

So I changed to an n3cj needle and 178 jet. I had already set the float height and it stopped all the overflow and excessive fuel consumption. Now after the change it is basically a steady overflow!?!?! Could I have done something wrong? Any suggestions? The bike was idling and sitting on the kickstand , did not do this before.

Sounds more like some grit in the float valve/float hanging up.

You might get lucky just tapping the bowl a few times with the back of a crew driver. If you haven't set the float height see the sticky in this section and start over.

Also a great idea to run an inline fuel filter.

If you removed the whole bowl to do the change the float pivot pin may have fallen out on one side, don't think this can happen though if you did the change through the drain hole

Agree with j possibly dirt in the valve, easiest to turn fuel off, put the bike on its side to drain bowl then stand it up and open fuel (this may flush the dirt into the bowl, you should then drain the bowl
