Rear brake clevis

Hi all and I have a question,
the clevis that hooks the pedal to the master cylinder is wallowed out. It appears from the breakdown poctures that it is not sold separately. Does anybody have a 'fix' or does one of the Fasstco clevis #'s work?
Also when I put the mecca brake lever it appears that the master cylinder shaft is offset to the inside of the pedal centerline, could the master cylinder mount be bent in ? Or something else? It seems to me that the master cylinder rod should go straight down to the pedal hookup. Couldn't tell from before cause the old pedal was trashed. Thanks in advance

I can't speak for the plunger being bent, or a bent brake mount, but that sounds reasonable. Someone here posted a nice picture of the fix for this. I couldn't find the picture, maybe it's in my pm's. I'll look. Here's the quote:

As a bonus on the older bikes with the pedal height/stop bolt you can cut the bottom out of the clevis slot and the pedal can be removed without touching the bolt/spacer setup. Very handy for on the trail removal.

In that thread there was a cool reference to a Zeta brake clevis. Super bling. Probably super expensive.

I Googled 'Zeta Brake Clevis' and got several sites. Not a bad price @ $25.00 but no application for GasGas. Anybody know of a cross reference ?? Same thing I ran into with the Fasstco clevis.

i have been in contact with Fasst and given the dimensions for the clevis. i expect to know something today or tomorrow on a clevis that will work for us. i will post the findings when i get them.

Fasstco p/n BC-107H is what i am being told works for our bikes. it shows to be the Honda part. i have ordered one and will let every one know how it works. With my new brake lever should be great.:D

Hello all,

I am interested in this as well, as my clevis is in bad shape on my 05 EC250.

Are you sure as to that part number? I checked the Fasstco site, and there it shows the BC-107H as the TRX 450 application for 06-07, versus the BC 101H which is the CR/CRF part. I just want to be sure before I order that the Honda ATV clevis is actually the correct one for our bikes.

Thanks.

i have the brake clevis sitting on the table will install this weekend and let you know how it turns out

I fixed mine tonight.
I found a drill bit the right size with no slop and cut it to the correct length.
I then drilled a hole in each end to fit a split pin on either side.
Gently tapped the new pin in and now have no slop.
Cost = $0:)
