rekluse question

I can't remember, but you can download the installation manual right from the Rekluse website. Its a multi-brand manual, but gives specific instructions by brand when something is different.

EDIT: my pdf manual says 7 Rekluse supplied drive plates and 8 stock friction plates ending with a steel Rekluse plate. Then the Rekluse EXP friction ring goes on last.

EDIT Redux: Mine is an '11. But its the same manual for all bikes and it makes no differentiation between different years of the GG

is the exp friction ring one of the eight?

i emailed rekluse and he said 8steel plates but in the rekluse video it says put a ffriction disc in first which would indicate 7 steels , but with eight steels in i cannot get an installed gap ?

be aware that one of the steel are thinner and goes in first I believe. I can look tonight if you like. Also the Core ring does stick out past the basket fingers (1/2 the core ring width).

I will try and remember to look when i get home. Out with the wife. Her birthday. Oh, there come our drinks. Like i said, tomorrow...

I had the exact same issue as you are having. After numerous calls to Rekluse and arguing with them I finally got them to send me the thinner steel which goes in first. Once I had that installed it worked. Are you using GG fibers? And are they brand new ones? It took mine a little breaking in and riding around to finally work properly since my fibers where new and needed a little breaking in....

Install the Rekluse steel plate first. X8. Run it for a while pulling the clutch in every now and then. Then check it's bled properly. It will take a little while for all to bed in. It can take a while to set up if as like me you have no idea (no offence) but it's all new!

One caution. I had a problem when cranking it in too far. That then caused the Rekluse pressure plate to rub against the inside of the clutch cover.

I would take all apart and put steels and clutch discs together and take measurement of the total thickness and then contact Rekluse to see what they recommend.

Here is what it did to my inside clutch cover.
