Remove valve cover - Impossible [450 SFE -05]

Hi.

As everyone else's my bike is almost impossible to start, so I thought I'd check the valve clearance (changed air filter/spark plug and tried all the "starting guides" on here).

Though removing the valve cover seems impossible without removing the engine from the frame, is there something I'm missing? Any hints and tricks?

I'll answer my own question:

1. Remove the rubber sealant.
2. Remove the rubber hose on top.
3. Push the lid forward as far as possible.
4. Extract the lid on the right hand side.

It's a very tight squeeze!

a little too late, but I was able to remove the top of mine without needing to take of the rubber seal. Just moved the loom out of the way. Was tricky though
