I have used it in my boat. It is made for use with a TWC3 rated oil. There have been issues of rings sticking in outboard motors that use TWC3 oils. I am not sure it would benefit a 2 stroke motorcycle if you use a good quality oil. I am not sure it would do anything to clean the powervalve.
Just been running my bike for a good 20 or 30 minutes with the Ring Free in the tank. I have sticky power valve issues and it appears much better. I think I need to run some more thru it so will report back the outcome. So far it is a good 50% better in just this short time. Keeping my fingers crossed, going out to run it again right now.
Believe it or not, the sticky power valve issue is all but gone away. You really can tell it is working. A real sharp mechanic told me about this today and said to shock the engine with up to 2 oz per gallon instead of the normal 1 oz per gallon for a general treatment. It really is getting better and better everytime I go out and twist the heck out of that throttle. Looks like I will make that race this weekend after all! Yeehaw!

The GasGas PV is probably the easiest in the industry to service. You can remove, clean, and replace the drums and main flap without even removing the cylinder. Its also steel so not prone to damage by harsh cleaning. If you start with a clean PV and use good synthetic oil, this shouldn't even be a topic for discussion over the life of a top end.

Isn't Castrol 927 castor based? If so thats your problem. Castor, while having a good film strength, burns very dirty. It was widely used in the '70s before modern synthetics and powervalve 2strokes.
I use Amsoil Dominator with excellent results, PV parts are very clean after 100 hrs. Any good modern full synthetic will be OK. If Castrol is convienient for you, run the TTS.
I'd pull that top end down, give it a good cleaning and inspection, and start off fresh with the synthetic oil.

Sounds like you might be a little fat, too. (your jetting, not your person)
