It looks like a 5 gallon tank. One downside to having fuel in the radiator scoops... if you crash/catch a tree and pull back a radiator scoop, then the tank can develop a crack and leak. My friend had something similar for his KTM and it happened on his first ride. Oops!

Is that a gas tank on the back too? Looks like it might be bolted/attached to the rear fender and has a cut- out for the seat.

That's surprising! I had one on my KTM and that tank could take a beating. I crashed hard a few time and expected to see fuel dumping out, but nothing just some scratches.

Those Safari tanks are 3.6 gals. and are available for the 2t's from '07 on, and for the FSR's from '08 on. justgastanks.com has them. They also have some interesting auxilary tanks and bladders.
One of my friends has the Ktm with the same style tank and it's held up really well. I like the fact that it's a little lower than the more common oversized tanks.

Can anyone comment as to whether the Safari tank will work with the Meca-System radiator braces?

Has anybody bought from justgastanks ?** Lotsa misimformation on the tanks, such as 2t tank uses stock fuel pump* etc.

My tank is kaput, so I have ordered a 3.2gallon Clarke tank in clear for the '05 Gasser.

I hope they keep such stuff in stock.

Why aren't all tanks clear?
These are supposed to be competition bikes and so many manufacturers have coloured ones because they look better.

JustGasTanks sent an e-mail saying that they had to order the tank to be made by Clarke. They guestimate one week. If it's later than that, I hope my new JB Weld job holds for the next race.
