Scotts Damper needs sub-mount kit. Do you know a workaround?

Normally, a guy just has to buy a new frame bracket (the post) for $150 to get the Scotts onto a new bike, but the newer GasGas 250's require a triple clamp sub-mount kit for $338.

Does anyone know a work around on this?

I thought about buying the GPR, but then I'm spending more money and end up with two dampers when I only need one. I prefer the idea of having a Scotts post on both bikes, so I can swap the damper back and forth.

I could sell the Scotts, and put the money towards the GPR, but then I'm out a damper for the other bike.

After spending more time on the Scotts website, I see that they offer a post kit for newer 250ec's. Is the designation "ec" not European for "xc"?

Within the same model year, will parts for a 250ec fit a 250xc?

the 2011 steering tube is smaller than the previous years. Scotts has a KTM post that will work.

BRP has more options as far as mounts go.

A Scotts Damper post that fits a 2009, 2010 KTM 250 will also fit a 2011 GasGas Race?

I've an email into BRP. The front page says the mounts fit up to 2011, but when it comes time to order the pull down menu only goes up to 2007. I've sent them an email seeking clarification.
