Snapped off foot peg-fix

With an angle grinder, drill, and $1 worth of steel from my scrap bin, I'd be much more inclined to just make a tab.

That YZ bracket appears to be cast. I've never had good luck welding cast parts to cold-rolled. Depending on what filler rod your welder used, you may get decent results.

Glad you've got it back together!

Clipped a rock HARD today during a technical climb and broke my left side foot peg off. It sheared the pin completely and damaged the frame as shown. My foot's fine... pulled it up anticipating the hit.

Do you guys recommend I replace the whole mount with the one from the YZ? Grind it down flat and have the YZ mount welded on? Or do you think the existing tabs can be bent back and potentially spot welded (cover the cracks) and keep the strength I need? Definitely don't want to worry about a peg breaking off unexpectedly

Also, where the heck do I get a replacement pin? Is it a special GG part? Or are they standard across all bikes? I'm replacing pegs with Tusk billet for YZs off Rocky Mountain ATV.

Looks like you can bend the tab down and weld the bottom side.

The YZ pin should fit.

Do you mean bend the top tab back? Will this weaken the metal? Should I have a bead of weld put into the inside seam against the frame for strength? The top photo shows where the paint has cracked at the bottom tab... should I grind that off and add some weld in there too?

Yes. Do as you described.
