So is the 2011 worth the extra dough?

I can get a left over 2010 or for like an extra $1000 get an 11. Money is tight right now so I have to weigh this out. The 2011 in stock has Sacks suspension.
So I get the cool new color, new and bigger I think carb, new exaust, And thats about it I think. So is it worth the extra coin?

Mike: I'm actually a fan of the Sachs/Sachs combo, so unless you're partial to the white and red the 2010 is a good choice. As far as changes for 2011 the exhaust is the same, the carb moves to an air striker II, the cooling system is a higher pressure minus the expansion tank, there's updated fork valving and new shock oil.

I road a 2010 300 and a 2011 300. The 11 had a little more low end (maybe I imagined it) And I thought it might be from the pipe and carb upgrade's

I wouldnt be afraid to own a 2010. The Sachs shock is excellent and the forks are not bad at all. A lot of tuners are just turned off by them because they use odd ball sized shims.

Al Randt at EE told me that his personal EC300 with Sachs forks works great with some mild tuning.

I think that the motor being stronger in 2011 is in your head.

I don't know about the 2011 (YET) but the 2010 is a very sweet bike. I did read/hear the new 2011 exhaust was stainless steel now and the carb is different. Wether the new color and these changes along with the different forks = 1,000.00 is a question only you can answer. Now with the new 2011 Six Days you get even more bling for an additional $200.00 not to add to your dilemma. Hey when you figure it out let please me know I am kicking around a lot of options myself; no comments Mr. Beane LOL. :D:confused:

Six Days bikes get stainless exhaust - my early '11 XC still has the standard plated. Air Striker II carbs seem to be the order of the day.

My 2010 Euro Model has the bling, revised fork valving, ohlins rear, galfer wave rotors, core turbine 2, and the Air Striker II carb. (This is the one that has the metal top mounted with 2 screws)

i think the differences are neglegible and at the price of some of the 2010's i would jump at the chance right now if i needed a bike. that ec300 racing on the forum for 7150 brand new is a crazy good deal as compared to the full price for the new colors and red frame!
