Squeaky rear end

Ive got a squeaky rubber sounding noise coming from around my Sachs shock, all linkages/ o ring seals etc are good, I do have an aftermarket spring on board, it's not the bump rubber and it's not rubbing on the air box, any ideas?

I'm hoping I'm not about to do a shock seal.

See if your airbox-mounted shock mudflap is giving you the issue ... it rubs every time you bounce in the saddle.

If it is only on the up/rebound portion of the stroke it may be tour check valve ball. Look on lt-racing website they explain the fix

Checked the flap,it's all good, seems to be the spring,it doesn't affect anything just sounds funny, thanks Steve

I've removed the ball matt, in fact I was supposed to post pictures, I'll do it today if I can get on the computer, I'm only allowed the iPad generally.

Cheers.

my 09 does that too. I've pulled down the rear end several times to find what is rubbing but cant find a thing....
I also have the sach's suspension, but i havent done the check valve mod.(removing the ball???), (any photos would be ace...)

Moving away from the suspension a little. I've had a bike in the past thats made a squeaking sound from rear end when suspension moved. Happend to be the brakes sliding against the disk making an annoying noise.

I noticed a bit of a squeak coming from mine tonight after dropping the TTX back in. I think the larger OD of the spring is causing it to rub against the rubber air boot. I've got a ride tomorrow. Hope it doesn't rub a hole through it.

Anyone else encountered this? I never noticed it in the past though.

I had an annoying squeak that was coming from the top shock bolt on my 2011 250. It wouldn't make a sound until the bolt was torqued to spec. I could hear it while I was riding. Drove me nuts!
I took the bolt out, laid a light coat on the entire length PLUS the flange on the bolt head with Bel-Ray waterproof grease. No more squeaky!

Its definitely the spring pushing the intake boot back on mine. All pivots are well greased. On the stand I have clearance between the boot and the shock spring. As the shock compresses the clearance reduces until the squeak. A quick squirt of inox stops the sound.
