Stickies for fork and shock???

Just a thought but would it be a good idea to set up a table of sorts with a variety of weight(riders), and the appropriate shock and fork spring rates that would suit these riders for say trail riding, enduro, mx etc?
I have a 5.2 in the rear of my 2007 and want to know what that spring rate suits but after scanning through the suspension segment I cannot find much.
How about it GMP what do you think?
Cheers Mark:)

I like it. Maybe have a blurb about valving (nothing technical about shims, just stiffer, softer, etc) and oil height/weight too.

Wence,

I can see how a suspension setup database would be useful. My only concern is that some folks have re-valved their suspension. So, any clicker settings may not be directly transferable between riders. Also, personal preference will play into it a lot. Some like it stiff, others like it soft... but never is right or wrong.

My suggestion...
You take the lead and propose a database guideline for others to post information. See my jetting database for a template idea. This will allow users to copy/paste the required field entries and provide their answers.

If activity is good, then I would also like you to compile the data into a summary table. It takes time to compile the information, but your contributions will be useful to our site and appreciated by others.

It's your ball if you want to run with it. :)

I'll have a go I reckon.
I will have to copy what you have done basically with obvious changes and see if I can get it going.
I completely understand what you mean about preferences and suspension revalves but they will also be sections unto themselves.
We'll see how it goes.
As I am going away for a week riding it will probably be done in the next few weeks.
Also , just a warning, I may be PMing you for a few tips if I can't work it out as I am fairly average on what I can do on the computer, but I will do my best.
Cheers Mark

LOL! I thought this was about stickers to put on the fork and shock like the shops do to record your settings!
