TBM - GasGas ec250 test...

Thats a pretty good review, quite accurate. I especially noted the part where they said the new 250 is so much more nimble that they don't feel the need to go with the 200 for this. This is the first thing you notice about the new bikes. The Husky points were good too. They commented that the 250F found traction better on wet rocks. Less is more sometimes, right? Maybe if were lucky there will be a GG 250F (better 300F) someday soon.

Unless two strokes are banned, they can keep the damned F's. Although I like your point about a 300. It seems that 300 is a magic size, for both two, and four stroke.

I remember when GG first released the 400. I was jazzed, waiting with baited breath for a 250F to be released. In my opinion, that first 400 was no better than a DRZ. The 250 was so much of an abortion, that they aborted it. Bad press from a bad bike does more to hurt you than no press at all. The GG two strokes are the best bikes in the world. I'd say if they continue to produce a four stroke, they'd better line up all of their ducks before releasing a little one.

First they say that little has changed from '07 to '08, and now this guy says that the '08 has it all over the '07.

What did they do to make the 250 (in this case) so much better that now he likes it better than the 200?

I wonder what the GG (250 or 300) would be like with a Rekluse up those slippery, rocky hills?

In fact, I think I'll start another thread rather than hijack this one.

Great article and I have to say more real than the comparisons of some other fanous dirt bike magazines.

After my EC250 07 was stolen I bought a new KLX450R. I really tried to like it for 40 days but when I changed it for another new EC250 07 Ohlins, I was in heaven! It feels much much more lighter, there is better real torque (and yes I fixed the jetting on the 450 plus I used a larer rear sprocket,but...) that allows you to really ride one gear higher when you want and the list goes on! There is nothing better than a Gasser for real enduro situations! The only thing better on the Kawa was the seat and smoother power delivery resulting in better traction, but I can really live without them (well.. actually i have ordered the 08 seat...)!
