The atrocity!!!

97' Dodge

Now that we're on the subject of diesel trucks, here's my dinosaur:). I've owned it for over 10yrs and love the truck. It has the mechanical injection pump and the engine needs zero computer equipment or sensors to run it. In the past 10+ yrs I've only adjusted the valves and replaced some gaskets in the engine with no other problems.

I may try a Dodge after this last ford issue, late model exploders apparently have a rear a/c intake right by the muffler that allows in exhaust! No need to tell anyone, exhaust is good for you.

I have a 99 ram with the 24v Cummins that I bought brand new. I have had several other diesels in the fleet come and go but the Dodge just keeps on going. It has 354,000 on it and the only thing I have done is fuel pumps , clutch and a starter. The front end has been rebuilt once and tons of brakes/tires. It is driven daily and I wouldn't think twice about driving it cross country.

I have an F250D, but was thinking about trading that and wife's 'sploder in on a new F150 to get her out of the rolling gas chamber. Man I am disappointed with Ford on this one. I would probably just do a 1500, although the Dodge D's that I have ridden in are nice!!
