Theilman Trail ride

I'll be visiting there but will be on the side lines due to my street bike vs. deer crash. I'm bummed about no riding but my collar bone is still jacked up. If anyone is on the fence about going it's well worth it! Do the camping thing and stay the weekend.

Hopefully see you there. Are you going both days? Make sure to search out all of the single track trails. The area back by the Ant Hill trail (fun climb BTW) can lead you to some nice trails. Have fun & make sure to bring all of your supplies with (food, water, gas etc.)

Sunday for sure. Is there plenty of parking I'm not camping overnight, but was planning on bringing a trailer behind my truck . But if parking is really tight I will just put the bikes in the back of the truck so I don't have a trailer to be in the way.

You'll be fine with the trailer. The parking is a first come basis with the shaded spots going to the early birds Fri afternoon. They have a huge parking/camping area.

I'll be there, not on the Gas gas though. I'll be on the Yamaha riding with my two girls (7and 9). I'm number 241. Say, "Hi."
The Gas Gas just vibrates too much at ultra low speed.

So how was the ride? I never made it down there, today got too busy with my new daughters baptism and I did Haydays all of yesterday.

Awesome, I had fun trying to keep up with teenage girls on XR100's! This is my first real ride since getting back into the sport after a 10+ year hiatus so it was quite humbling to see how out of shape I am. The trails were great and well marked. It is a very well organized ride with great trails and views. I will be back for the spring ride. Ironically the first bike I saw when we pulled into the event was a GasGas. I think I saw 3 or 4 total today. Great Day!!

Knudsen, how was HayDays? This was the 1st time in several years I didn't go. Too many things all happening on the same weekend so it became a "stay home and keep the wife happy" day. I always enjoy the swap meet and sometimes I'll get a chance to speak w/a company rep about off-road riding in general. Last year it was $20 just to park, but I was pulling a trailer so they tried to charge me $40!!! Just to park my van and trailer! Another good reason to ride in the woods.

Haydays went a lot better than that first year at the new location. At 7am we parked at a farm s.e. side for 10$, the free lot from a few years ago was a bean field now. There was hardly a line at that time at the ticket booth. The swap was huge as always. We walked non stop till about 2:30 and made it thru it. I came home with some extra parts for my mid 90's Dodge diesel trucks center caps, 2 Infinity radios, NOS mud flaps, cold fronts and a free Polaris Scrambler complete air box. I didn't find any dirt bike stuff or sled stuff I had to have. BTW the Douglas swap is on the 21st. It was a fun time but I missed riding at Theilman though :(
