Time to change out sprockets and chains

I did about 40 miles on the rocky "Mile Marker" trails NW of Phoenix.

I'm sold on the ratio for my riding. We tackled several long (but only moderately steep) hills and my clutch didn't get any work. The only time I had to feather the clutch was when I was in 3rd and going too slowly.

The ratio really tigthens up my ratios. Possibly too tight for some.

When I rode the MM on my 04DE300 it worked well with 13/51 (Ironman front and rear) Most people think AZ riding is like the Baja, but it is not.
At least not the MM single track we rode!

Did the race. Loved the ratio. I was able to loft the tire better. Perhaps the flywheel weight slowed things down a bit. While none of the hill climbs were particularly challenging, needless to say, there was no clutch feathering going on.

I did break my pinky due to an out of control rev situation. It wasn't a stuck throttle, however. It felt like a Cox model airplane going lean from lack of fuel.

I'll start a new thread on that later.

Man sorry to hear that good luck with the recovery - being out of action 'cos of something stupid I did I can handle but the bike's fault - I hate that! PS the GG has never tried to kill me but my KTM tried (and somethimes succeeded) many times...

The pinky is about 75%. I'm doing a GP race (part MX  part tight desert :D with a short enduro-cross section thrown in for the spectators) on Sunday.

Shouldn't be a problem.
