Torque value for Triple Clamps?

I dont have the user manual for my 2010 EC300 yet, and values for 2009/2011 is different from the torque table on this site (http://www.gasgasrider.org/torque_table.jpg).

What's the torque setting for upper and lower triple clamp bolts? 20/16Nm seem to low to me.

16 Nm for the lower is max for a dry bolt. More than that and you will run into binding and wear problems with the coating on the inner tubes. For anti-seized bolts, take off 20-30%. I torque the center bolt to 10Nm and just snug the upper and lower.

On the 2009 manual, it says "suspension clamp bolt = 29Nm". What is it; fork triple clamp bolts?

I tighten my lower clamp bolts to 12nm, or 106 in lbs and the uppers to 17nm or 150 inch lbs. Any more than that and the uppers nearly close up together. The lowers need less torque to provide a smooth fork action.

My specs are a little different than the manual, I think the manual specs 25nm which is waaaay much for the uppers. I couldn't find the lowers in the manual.

I did 15 for the upper and 12 for the lower, still they nearly close up together. Maybe my cheap torque wrench is not precise enough.

Its also the bolt sequence. If you keep going over all three bolts until the wrench clicks on each its much tighter than you think/want.

Damn, I do exactly that. However my first time loosening them from the factory assembly they were so tight I had to break out my long 3/8" extension.

Yes, they came tighter than they are now.
