Tyre slime use ?

I've never had a flat and I ride in a ton of sharp jagged rocks, heavy duty tubes and trelleborg(mitas) tires. I run 8psi in the rear and 10 in the front. I think a lot of not having flats running such low pressure is attributed to the wickedly stiff sidewall and robust bead on the mitas sport extremes. Or I'm just very very lucky!(I don't have to worry about nails in the back woods I'm riding in either though which could make a HUGE difference if I did)

I was the same, running hd tubes never a puncture then playing in a few quarries and two nails in the rear on separate occasions made my mind up to put in bibs, the bibs are great but wouldn't mind a bit lower pressure for some of the really hard, snotty stuff.
Hoping the tubliss will allow me to do this.

Heard great things about the mitas extreme. I've got one of the extremes but the sl version ready to go on. It's mega soft and supposed to be the dogs.

What are you using up front?
I like the 6 days extreme but the maxxis it I have on at the moment is pretty good.

I use a Pirelli scorpion xc MS up front. Awesome tire but doesn't last as long but I'm ok with that with the way it bites. It's by far my favorite up front

I think I'm going to run a Scorpion MX up front soon. Sick of the side lugs tearing on the Dunlops.

Gents: I am a big believer in tire slime for preventing puncture flats from thorns (lots of these in Texas). But, I've never been 100% sure how much of the bottle to put into each tire- I usually just use half the bottle in each tire. Anyone know if I should be putting an entire bottle in each tire or is 1/2 good?

I use slime (brand) and they have off-road specific slime. Seem to remember it is about 8oz per tire minimum, but it is shown on the bottle

It's always good to run some flat proof in the tire. I do this mainly to lubricate the inside of the tube - it helps prevent pinch flats...

I also use talcum powder on the outside of the tube and inside the tire on assembly.

I prefer pro honda flat proof....

I use lighter michelin tubes w/ flat proof and run an appropriate tire pressure for the conditions and didn't have a flat for a damn long time....

I recently switched to msr natural rubber tubes - we'll see how it goes...
