I raced with my son. He beat me by a couple of minutes last year. But this year, I had the Billet Smart Carb for the 300 and a will to win. He was wound up tight and crashed early. He also suffered a bad case of arm pump and and I ended up doing two more laps than he.
Highlights:
-The start of our row was a little confused.
-Mike passed me on my right in the air just after the first turn. I'm sure a few spectators jumped back as he flew by.
-I just happen to miss a massive rock at 2:10 that I never saw. Scares me to think of hitting it.
-I pass Mike at mile 5.
Forgive the cheesy sound effects and subtitles. And the obnoxious sound of my tear-offs beating my helmet.
Some of you may be most interested in hearing the Smart Carb equipped engine. Usually I short shift, but the power is so smooth and it revs so high that I just kept gassing it way past where I would normally shift.
