Wanted side stand

I wouldn't mind having one also. But the last used one I saw they wanted a $125 for it . Once I got done choking I passed.

I wish Pro-Moto Billit made them for the GG. I have them on the KTM and Yamaha and they are outstanding! Maybe a coordinated emailing would get them to make a few.

I had one on my YZF. I agree, they are indeed outstanding. So much so that a made a bracket and mounted my YZF kick stand to my EC300! Was it worth the trouble? Absolutely:)

can you post a picture of that ???

Here you go:

That looks nice. I've been with out my side stand for way to many years...due to all the issues with the spring, not staying up...ect.ect.
I still have my OEM side stand with the hopes someone will come up with a true fix!

Any tips, I have the summer off with a busted rotator cuff, may try and do something similar! Any welding, or did you just have to make a backing/mounting plate? Don't, i repeat DON'T give me an excuse to buy a tig/mig!

Aw c'mon, I'm always looking for excuses to buy things like that ;)

But no need for welding here. I just made a bracket that bolts directly to the chain roller bracket and then down to the kick stand. The offset down diagonally was about 22mm+/- and about 18mm+/- out away from the frame. I just took a block off aluminum (with hacksaw and file) and whittled down to the correct fit. I will take a pic of the block if you like. The only mod to the frame was a little metal taken off of the bracket that holds the chain roller in order to get a good tight fit. I then measured, drilled, and tapped the holes (8mmx1.25). I used the same bolt for the chain roller but put it through the back side so it screwed directly into the new block.

Michael, that would be awesome if you could take a picture of the block! Me messing up a kickstand would be one of my cheaper projects... I just happen to have a test stand on the yz250 that I can borrow before buying a new one for the GG. I really appreciate the info on this!

Hey, you still riding? How has the forest been lately. End of summer will be about 6 months post surgery, I am planning on riding the dang new bike then!
