Washington Gas Gas meet and greet ride?

I'd like to meet and get to know you NW Gas Gas guys a bit better. Wondering if we can find a compromising date, maybe early December to meet and go for a ride.
I'm thinking a day of Tahuya singletrack, rain or shine. But am open to other suggestions.
Let me know if you are interested, we can nail down a date. 1 or more riders, everyone is welcome.

Roscoe

Sounds like a good idea, Roscoe. I'm scheduled to work the 13-14 of December, but other that that I ought to be free.
Can I bring Scott as our token orange guy?

Tim H

We'll aim for the first weekend in December then. Sure Tim, Scott and his KTM are welcome as are all other Gas Gas riders family of friends.

I will try and plan to make up several different loops that bring us back to or close to the staging areas so people can peel away if they have had enough or need to go do that honey do list.

This may be a good time to let others feel what the gassers feel like if we can get a few together for a day.

I'd like this little get together to be a stepping stone for a bigger and better NW Gas Gas ride in 2009, like what was planed for this year but fell through!

Roscoe

Count me in Roscoe. I am supposed to work the 6th but with some notice can get out of it.

Cool Guys I'm excited! It will be great to put names with face's.

Lets all plan for Sunday December 7 then.

I will be stopping for Breakfast before hand and welcome you all to join me.
I usually stop at the Bremerton airport cause the guys I ride with tend to like it. But some of you may be coming from the far south end, so I am going to eat at Jimmy D's which is located right in the town of Belfair across HWY 3 from Mc Donald's in Belltowne square, a small shopping center. I plan to arrive at 7:00AM.

If you don't want to stop for breakfast I plan to meet at the Elfendahl staging area at 8:30AM ready to ride by 9'ish.

Please let me know your plans so I know who to look for at breakfast and or the staging area.

I will Contact Les, LTRacing and see if he is interested in a ride also. It would be cool if Jeff could make it up for this meet. How bout it Jeff!

I look forward to this day.:)

Roscoe

I'll do my best to make it and drag Les along too...

Hope you don't mind - both of us are gasgas-less right now. Les will be on the '08 husky 510...

jeff

Cool Jeff! Just let me know as we get closer so I know who to look for in the morning.
As far as the Huskys no problem. I wanted to try yours last time we rode and never did. Les's custom ohlins suspended XR was a gem to ride though.

Hopefully its a decent weather day for us and not the torrential rain we have been getting the last few days.

Roscoe

That sucks Jeff!

Maybe next time. As long as you haven't went total Husky fanatic on us by then.

See ya,
Roscoe

I will be going out regardless of the weather, or number of participants.

If you are definitely coming to this meet let me know this week by Friday.

I went out last weekend and put in a nice ride in ultimate conditions. Forecast for this weekend looks wetter but I have rode in far worse than their predicting. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Olympic rain shadow helps out.

Hope you can make it!

Roscoe

You won't be alone, Roscoe. Scott and I are in too. We went out to Tahuya last Friday, and yes, it was epic conditions. Rode Saturday on our secret trails at home, then busted some moto on a friends practice track on Sunday before we went to the AC/DC concert in the T-Dome. A pretty darn good weekend by any standards (well unless you're a hard core AC/DC hater).
Looking forward to the gaggle of Gassers getting together, hope most of you can make it.
Has someone let Les know that he's MORE than welcome even if Jeff blows us off to keep his job?

Tim H

I was at Tahuya last Sunday and it was awesome. I am planning on making it Sunday and will have Kelly from Motosportz with me on his Husky. We might be there a little later then you are planning though. I will let you know Roscoe

Cool Tim, I look forward to it.
I am a AC/DC fan. They were my 2nd concert ever, back in 1980 at the then Seattle center coliseum (Back in Black tour). You guys are lucky to have seen that show, tickets were hard to come by. I will call Les and reassure him he is more than welcome.

Hey Ken thats great! Tim was at Tahuya on Friday, I was there Saturday and you were there Sunday. Were all makin sure people see them Gas Gas machines out there aren't we. :)

Let me know what I can do so we can hook up for this ride. Whether it be come back to the staging area after a short loop a little later to meet you or what ever. I'm glad your bringing Kelly along I don't believe I have ever met him. Maybe he can talk me into buying one of those tricked out looking Gas Gas dampers. But truly I am probably more likely to get some of those tires he is running and selling, motoz I think there called.

Anyhow, sounds good.

Hey Roscoe I'm planning to meet at the restaurant unless I have a late night on saturday.
My wife is out of town for the week and you never know what could happen when the cat is away.

Excellent! Stay out of trouble John. Well, should I say don't do anything I wouldn't do. :D

Roscoe

Hey all. I talked with Les today and he said he is still planning to try and make it out for this ride even though his buddy Jeff cant.
He was not positive yet as he has some things he needs to accomplish in order to swing it.

Also the weather forecast has improved some compared to the earlier prediction I saw this week. I'm keeping them fingers crossed.
