I would buy the Watchdog myself. I have a TrailTech Vector and it is not an enduro computer. The WD is a great product and they provide great support.

I used a watchdog for years (along with ICOs and a Pacemaker), no complaints with the watchdog. I've never used a Trailtech, MIGHT be more user friendly if you just want to trailride and need an odometer, speedo, or clock maybe? But if you're going to ride any enduros get the watchdog, even if it's restart/National format rules where you don't NEED to timekeep it's still nice to have.

I'm an enduro rider and there are lots of WatchDogs around here. I've always just used a rollchart, odo and watch and hoped for someone with a computer on my minute.:):)

Anyway I bought a Vector for my new GG and broke the mount just hooking it up to my bike. Stock mounting system is very flimsy and the rest looks marginal for a true off road computer. Anyway, I ordered a WatchDog today. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to cheap out.

If you plan on doing some timekeeper enduro's I would go with the watchdog. I've had mine for about 4 or 5 years now. Its never given me any problems. If all you are going to use it for is trail riding I would go with the trail tech. Its alot cheaper. About the only thing I don't care for on my watchdog is the thumb switch. I just wish they could of made it a little smaller.

I'll probably get it.......thanks -

I wanted to make sure it was durable, waterproof and etc.......sounds like it won't just crap out for no reason thanks........!!!

All the true enduro computers are at another level as far as durability is concerned. Watchdogs are nice, when my 13 year old ICO finally dies I'll get one as well.

I have the Watchdog. Very straightforeward to program.

Only minor complaint is you have to send it in for a battery
after a few years...... :-(

Jeff

Not from personal experience, but I have been told if you use your WatchDog every time you ride, not just for an occasional enduro, the battery will actually last longer. Don't know if it's true, but that's what I'm going to do.
