Im interested in changing to a front fender that doesnt require a fender brace, and then putting the slick crf number plate on.
So just wondering if the new era 09,10,11 crf front fender fits with or without modification.
The 2009 Crf450 front fender fits nicely on the 2011 models. You have to egg out the holes just a little but other than that it matches up real nice. We kept breaking the front fender in cold weather thats why we made the switch. I couldn't tell you whether it would fit the older models. From the looks of pictures of the older models I don't believe they have a stepped fender like the 2011 model does.
So it fits and doesnt hit the pipe or frame or wheel? I know that you could make any front guard fit with mounting options, just nice to not have to modify much.
Also, it doesnt need a fender brace?
The 2011front fender won't fit the older bikes.
There are two bolts that go into the bottom of the triple clamp and two more that bolt into a separate bracket at the front of the triple clamp.
The 2010 front fender will fit the older bikes, it has a deep v in the middle that stabalizes the fender without a brace.
Every UFO front fender I have ever ordered hasn't had the holes pre-drilled. I mounted a newer style Yama front fender on my 97 EC250. Just line up or measure the old fender holes, drill and mount. I did have to nick a little off the bottom for it to clear my pipe, but you cant even tell.
I just finished putting 2001 WP(USD) forks on today and the holes lined up from the zokes triple to the WP triple.
