Tire Sections

You've got to watch tire sizing from one brand to the next (Michelins are rated larger than most) due to the convention used to measure them - either from sidewall to sidewall or largest width across the knobs.

A 120 Dunlop may equal a 140 Michelin in actual contact patch for instance ...

All advice is good. I got hung up with suspension settings when i first got my Gasser after fitting a set of 07 shivers (to replace my 50mm magnum conventionals)
I set all of the adjustments to standard set the race sag. Then concentrated on my riding.

I dont know what level you ride at but in tight woods i am constantly slipping the clutch and hanging on the back brake to keep the bike stable and controlable. I think this is key if you watch any of the top riders. try it for yourself, try different approaches.
Another thing is if you come into a tight turn in the woods "too slow" your bike will be unstable and always want to push the front away making you off balance and needing to take a dab or two.

There are so many factors other than the bike that can affect your riding.

I always run the widest possible rear as they tend to have wider spaced knobbles which helps clear the mud faster. I guess that should turn slower in theory though.

bikes now fixed with new gold [bling ] bars:D .while i stripped bike down found a lot of dirt in the inner airbox so some must have dropped off seat while changing air filter .worth a thought to others
