Anyone riding this? What class are you in?? What's your number? All fun things to ponder. I think I might sign up just so I can have red number plate backgrounds.... How's that for a reason!?

Why is it called the World Off Road Championship Series if all the rounds are in the US?

Because it is open to anyone from anywhere in the world. can't help it if you kiwis are to cheap to fly to america to race! Besides World off road championships sounds much better than Western US Off road championship doesn't it?? Why be champion of just the western US when you can be champion of the entire freakin' world!! Gotta think big friend!!

Yea but the NZ national enduro series is open to anyone from anywhere in the world, but we dont call that a world series.
I always thought it stood for western off road championship series anyway.
Just something that has always irked me, sorry if im offending O_o'

I didn't name it, just want to race it. I figure I could add a world championship to my resume. :D

In fact, I'd love to race the NZ National enduro series! I missed out on going to NZ for the ISDE in 2006, but I hear it's going back. Maybe I should move to NZ for 2012, do the series, and stay for the ISDE!!

NZ is much like Oregon, where I'm from. The 45th parallel North runs right through our state, just like the 45th parallel South runs through NZ. Could easily see myself spending the summer in each place, truly endless summer! Too bad I have to work.........

Sorry to off topic roost,
I would be doing the series if I lived within range

Summer in NZ is too hot and the ground becomes too hard. Winter is where its at for riding, because it doesnt snow or get very cold, just rains.
Another ISDE for NZ you say, ill probably be doing it ...

What's funny, is it's the same here as you say. I do more riding during the winter because they close the woods for fire danger locally, and it's too dusty anyway where you can ride. I bought a mt bike so I could keep riding in the summer.

A friend of mine did the ISDE in 2006, it was a miserable rainy mudfest.

From what iv heard and seen, indeed it was. They ran it on pumice based soil, which normally lasts all through the winter no matter how much water falls on it, but they had a high category cyclone go through the whole week, one (or many) of the tests were declared unrideable and removed.

Mike -
Looks like there's some WORCS races in WA this summer. I watched a couple years ago & it was GNARLY stuff. Go get it!:D
