Paul,
My bro has one, I ride it often and wrench occasionally. Its a good bike, different than a GG though. Tall, and very stiff stock, in the rocks here its unridable stock, good with a revalve though(a must). He also had a TE and the 4-stroke suspension was MUCH better. Turns great, close to your GG, not really top heavy like the TE. The stock swingarm bearing setup sucks, lets a lot of crap in and trashes the bearings. Suprisingly GG sleeves and o-rings go right in. Motor is strong, but a bit abrupt, and the 5 speed runs out of steam fast, but its good enough for most woods riding. Cable clutch is OK but no where as nice as the GG clutch. The kickstarter is odd and awkward to me, but I'm told you get used to it. The shrouds stick out and constantly get torn loose, this needs attention immediately. The silencer tabs on the subframe are a joke and break off easy, I'd beef them up when setting the bike up. In technical terrain I give the GG the edge as its just a little eaiser to ride being lower and smoother and having a lower 1st gear. Overall the bike is very good, and quite bullletproof. If I could not get a GG for some reason I would get the Husky before the KTM and set it up right. FWIW, you will love the '07+ GG. I'd find a nice '07.
