WTB Kawasaki KX85 stuff

Picked up an '07 KX85 for my 12 yr old. Bike is mint with only a few hrs on it, paint still on the clutch cover. So I need a skid plate, Rad guard, pipe guard, and will consider anything else you guys might have.

Very cool, I went through a KX100 set up with our son about six years ago.

The pipe is pretty tough and the bike is light, so don't be too concerned (initially) about a pipe guard.

There's no front rim lock - we found that out on the first wet ride.

The bottom of the ignition is open....

Stock rear tire will, thankfully, wear out pretty fast.

Have fun.

Thanks Dave. This bike is like new, couldn't pass it up for the price. I'm a little worried that my son may be a bit big for it (he's 5'5" 120lbs) but he wants to do a couple harescrambles and is too young to race the big wheel class. Plus, the 100 is only 30mm taller anyway.

I set a KX100 up for my nephew about nine yrs ago. I took the GGNA brass flywheel weight from my '00 XC250 and had it cut down and modified with a special nut to fit the KX crank. Worked great and my brother still has it. I'm going to drop 1 tooth up front, and a skid plate and rad brace are must haves here with all the rocks. If he still has trouble with climbs I'll try some softer reeds and bump up the timing like I did on the 100. The 85 is peaky, more so than I remember the 100 being.
