Yamaha kickstart lever - new part number
The YZ250 kicker will fit. Most like that it's a bit longer than the OEM item. Here's the latest part number 5NX-15620-20-00 that supercedes 5NX-15620-11-00 which superceded 5NX-15620-00-00.
I've been using servicehonda.com for my recent Suzuki and Yamaha parts orders.
A similar part number is listed on the "Parts Crossover" page, but it has been superceded a couple of times.

I have a YZ starter on my bike. Lot's more leverage.

Get one off of a ktm
A ktm kickstarter from current big bikes will work. I've got a ks from a 08 KTM 300 xc-w on my 03 EC 250 now...lots more leverage, fits like it was made for the bike, and is just a better set up.
