WTB Rekluse LHRB

Good find on the Hayes Mtn Bike master cylinder.

I really like the slim style of this and how it does not take up much space at all.

But my concern is that it will not be able to operate my new LHRB setup that uses a daul piston KTM 950 Brembo Rear Caliper. I am currently using a KTM Brembo Clutch Master Cylinder to operate my caliper. It provides plenty of braking power that only a slight grip of the lever and the brakes are there! I currently still have my Magura clutch installed but it makes for a very messy left side of my handlebars. I honestly don't think I have a need for my clutch but am still keeping it for a safety precaution...

How did you??? WTF! Man, now I want a dual piston rear brake! I was looking at my old 97' Gasser with the rear brembos and wondering if they could be swapped? The rear brembo has much better stopping power. Agree, just a slight touch of the pedal and it's there even with the single piston.

LMAO, I love it too! It rocks!

To solve the handlebar/hardware problem is simple. Put you switches on the coolant hose. Mine are already there, it keeps them out of harms way and you get to them through the L/H rad cowl. I want a LHRB but want to do it as cheaply as possible!

Here is a good shot of my LHRB setup.
Used it yesterday and wait for it........It rocked and I am in Love!!!
I was able to come in to corners hauling butt grab the Brembo Master Cylinder with 1 finger feather the brake and then off to the next corner. I am now a true believer!!!!

The Brake is on top and the Magura clutch is underneath it.

Thanks for this - I am very interested in learning more. I have a rekluse but have yet to install it.

It took me a few minutes to figure out the configuration. Its a very innovative setup. How durable would that compression lever be with in the longterm?

I looked at that website too. That is the master cylinder I am using to run my Brembo brake caliper. This is definitely a good way to keep the foot pedal.

Is there a certain size master cylinder that is required? I have bought a MTB rear brake master cylinder. Would this hold enough fluid? I may just ditch the foot pedal if I can get this set up to work!

Problem might be that on long brake dragging down hills it might cook the fluid to fast?

I'm curious if the Hayes lever could be used for the clutch. I would get rid of the clutch lever all together but would feel safer with it, for that "just in case" scenario.

Stu, did you the brake line from your handle bar MC straight to the rear caliper? How many feet did your line require?
