WTB Top Triple Clamp

I'm involved in a little bit of a science project fitting a set of KYB SSS forks to a 2010 GasGas. The cleanest route seems to include modifying the upper triple ... which is where you come in. The recipient bike is half way around the world, as is it's upper clamp - anybody got one Stateside?

Why does it need to be modified Steve?

I can confirm the OD of the upper clamp of the Sachs legs, as well as the Marzocchi 48mm CCs. Were you looking at boring out the upper clamp to accept the 56mm upper KYBs, or correcting the offset to compensate for the shorter axle lug?

The issue with the KYBs is that they are a mash up of clamping diameters and offsets, with a sprinkling of caliper carrier changes thrown in for fun. The set I'm working with has the new offset(but still silver) lug with the shorter caliper mount arms and 32mm offset, but large 56mm upper clamp.

Sounds like they have come off a 2T (YZ125/YZ250). The YZ125 fork leg is 10mm shorter.

It appears with the larger OD forks that using an entire 25mm offset Yamaha triple clamp is the easiest route and negates any changes to the overall offset.

I am a sucker for the OEM look and finish so will be nice to see what you come up with.
