02 FSE400 high idle.

Hi all, new Gasgas owner, picked up a 2002 FSE400, with supposedly 50 miles on the clock, yesterday. After a close look at the bike, I don't think the mileage is correct, but is sure hasn't done much work.

Bike starts fairly easily, considering the small battery, but the idle is way too high, and a bit erratic as well.

Bikes got fresh fuel, 98 octane. I was thinking of running some injector cleaner through it to see if that helps.

I disconnected the cable from the throttle body and no change, so its not a cable issue.

Is there an adjustment on the throttle body to adjust idle?

If not, how do I go about getting the idle speed down?

Thanks in advance.

Well. I got the idle sorted. Took the bike for a run in the forest, and after a little while, the engine started to knock suddenly! Trailered it home, and started pulling bits off. Finally took the head off and found this.

A frigging steel spring washer got into the combustion chamber, and bounced around for a bit, before getting jammed on top of the piston, and bashing into the head.

Luckily the valves and seats are ok. Wonder whats going to happen next????
