2015 Chain Guide is different?

So I noticed on one of the Geof Aaron videos that the rear chain guide is different. It doesn't over lap the sprocket. It's just sort of an angle piece that looks like a 1970's XR250 chain guide. Anyone know what the difference is?

I'm mostly just curious. If it does the job that's fine.

Special bike

The footage you see of Geoff's bike is from the EC "model" which is not the model we are bringing into the US on a normal basis. The US model is with the "motocross style" chain guide that you have seen in the last few years.

Geoff's bike was a bike we had expedited to FMF for testing and then used quickly for the photo shoot as we didn't sign Geoff until late into the start of the 2015 season

I also mentioned that on one of the other threads. I had the same one on my 2010
I quite liked it - it is spring loaded with a roller at the end, when you riding over rocks it can move over the rocks instead of hooking on them like the TM, but not very strong from the side and higher maintenance, you are never sure when the roller will go

I thought they changed it on the 2011 because of USA regulations

Knew it!

Also remember it being hellishly noisy (you can hear it on the video)

And when the roller went on mine I thought my bike was packing up!!
