Hey there,
Any one know exactly what the differences are between the engines of the 2011 ec 300 and the 2011 ec 300 6 days. I understand that the ec300 is a lot tamer than the 6 day model and would like to kow exactly what they did to the 6 days to make it so much more potent. What are the jetting differences (sizes, numbers etc) Needle differences maybe flywheel weight and squish and so on.

I thought they were the same? I rode last years (2010) ec300 and sixdays and the sixdays didn't seem anymore gnarly. I havnt gotten to ride this years ec but I have rode the sixdays and I don't think it's any more gnarly than last years ec. Just my 2 cents

The 6D comes with different head/inserts, correct?

BTW, I couldn't really tell a difference between the base EC and 6D.

I *could* tell the difference between the 300 and my LTR/squish/carb-modded 2005 at 7,000 feet (with 52T rear sprocket). The 300 pulled up grades in one or even two gears high and pulled strongly. My 250 liked the right gear.

However, now that I've just done a top-end, my 250 is back pumpin' it up. :)

I can.t find any differencies between 6d, racing or regular GG motor... Differncies are suspension, skidplate and "bling bling" parts...

no the sixdays does not come with a different head or inserts. thats the S3 head on the cervantes and the nambo's

I always wondered this. Back back back in the day I believe some of the Race models shipped with a lighter flywheel/stator. Pretty sure they're all the same same now.

Does the electric starter add anymore flywheel effect?

For a 2K3 setup, the only added weight is the very thin ring gear attached to the flywheel. I doubt you could tell the difference. You would notice the extra 12 lbs of battery and starter first.

Thanks for clearing up the starter question :)

Re carb spacer: I assume you mean the reed spacer? I have a limited edition bike (1 of 20) that was brought into aus and sold as a 'Euro'. Basically its a 2010 Race with some stickers that say Euro on it. It has the reed block spacer in place also.
