Has anyone seen this:

After 47 hours, my estart stopped working!
With 5 hours the bendix cap exploded internally because the shaft.
I bought the AS3 cover and it did not mess up any more.
The dealer was recommended that I clean the system every 25 hours...
Well:
After the last cleaning, the match started to get worse.
Now it does, but it does not start the engine.
There seems to be a bit of battery power left before the engine starts.
I use the lithium battery that came on the bike. The battery upgrade here in Brazil is practically priceless and reading the other topics, I do not think that the problem will be solved definitively, or it will be for a period which does not compensate the investment in a new battery.

My mechanic says de battery begins to die.

When new, ok!

Now the necessary power to start de engine, is not more available and new battery is necessary, but is no sense for me.

At first, except for the frustration of having the estart and the same does not work (I bought the bike aware of the chronic problem of the estart), I have no problem in getting it started on the kick start pedal.

A question:
Does anyone use lead battery?
I wonder why your motorcycles here in Brazil come from the factory with the lead battery (SHERCO, KTM ...) and work well!

*The lead battery is much more affordable here.

I know the extra weight, but without working properly, I carry those extra pounds.

Watching the video above, I also think about eliminating the estart system (less weight to load and less ways to have problems), but I have some doubts:

If Iremove the battery, will the original odometer and these functions continue to work?
And the headlight?

The magnet cover I already got!

It's the GG EC 300 2014/2015 model !!!

Anyway, if anyone can help me with the above questions, thank you very much.

Is it a 14 or 15? Those two model years have VERY different e-start setups. The 15 always worked flawlessly for me. The 14’s has the old style and it didn’t work so well

No!

The magnet cover is to eliminate the estart system.

Same used on the bike on video...

E ae camarada! Tudo certo?
N?o cara, se for a 14 tu n?o pode remover a bateria, porque ela precisa da mesma para funcionar.

Hello my brother! Everything ok?
No. If your bike it's 2014, u can't remove the battery. Bike need the battery to start.

Fala parceiro!
N?o!
Minha moto ? uma 2018!
Por isso postei o link do v?deo.
A do v?deo ? uma XC que o cara tirou a partida e colocou a tampa da 14/15!
To bem prestes a fazer isso se a partida continuar me enchendo o saco.
Na pior das hip?teses deixo a bateria ent?o s? pra tocar o farol e o od?metro.
Abs.

Hi brother!
Not!
My bike is a 2018!
That's why I posted the video link.
The bike on video is an XC that the guy took the estart and put the 14/15 model magnet Cover!
I'm just about to do it if the battery keeps pissing me off.
Not in the worse scenario, I leave the battery then just to play the headlight and the odo.
Cheers.

So you are getting rid of the estart because it needs a battery? I would hate to see what you do when the bike needs a piston etc. for what it is worth you don?t have to run a lithium battery. Lead acid will do the job, just not with as much punch.

I have an 18 gp250. The OEM battery didn?t last long. I replaced it with a Lithiym and got 7mths out of it and it has died. I have fitted a Gel battery this time and so far starts bike same as lithium did. They have similar CCA ratings of 140 and hrs be gel at 150. You can get litium batts with over 200 CCA

Make no mistake, my friend!
Things in Brazil are not so simple!
I do not think it's abnormal to have to change a battery from time to time.
What bothers me is to do it in less than 50 hours ...
Every 50 years I have the same problem?
Here in this corner of the world nobody assumes anything!
Lead battery did not work.
90 CCA was the maximum I could fit there.

People who have had the same problem are using this battery:
YLP14 MODEL:

Every 50 hours 250 USD makes sense to eliminate the estart?

Great notice!

Gel Batteries...

I read a lot about lithium batteries and it is unanimous that they have very short lifetimes if they are not used daily.

The great advantage of these batteries is their weight and size.

Otherwise you will find the same specifications in lead and gel batteries.

A battery tender says to help quite how much the life of the lithium batteries.

Reading your report, I really do not know if I'm going to tie money into batteries in a estart system that was born doomed to not work with excellence.
