Ec200 2018??

Does anyone have any rumors about upcoming new ec200? XC200 is already available in America, but we are waiting for EC200 here in europe.

Is there the same basemotor as in ec250 and ec300 or is it totally different?
I think it should be lighter. Currently I have some difficulties to choose between ec200 and 300.

Rumours say the production will start in November. I presume the motor is basically the same as before, 250/300 cases with a sorter stroke crank and different cylinder, piston and head. I also presume the 2018 motor updates done to the 250/300 will be implemented in the 200.

Thank's for answer Anders.
I am just wondering if 200 engine base could be the same as upcoming 125. Just like some other brands have. Or is 125 totally different project?

So.. which one is the most rideable?
When I had Beta 300, I had few hospital related issues with it. Then I bought Beta 250 and no problems at all. I tested EC300 and it felt so good, but is it still too hasty when driving long competitions? I have no experience from 200cc enduro bikes. Is is worth to wait it?

Depends on a lot of factors. To me, the 200 is the ideal bike (I think). But I am 57 years old, and pretty slow. I did try my son's EC300, and it is just too much power for me. Even one of my sons went from an EC300 to an EC200 and thinks he has become a faster rider, as he can keep his speed for a longer time without getting too exhausted.

I have had lots of 200s including my 2014 and they are the most fun bike for me , i am only 145 so it has plenty of power . The 125 is to much work for me and my 300 is my cruiser .

How about 250cc? Very hard to decide.
My achilles tendon broke few weeks a go and I have plenty of time to give this a thought or two.
In finland we drive also at winter with spikes.

I bought a 250 because I found it a good compromise between a 200 and a 300. Doesn't surprise you, or overwork you like a 300 can & will still get up and go as well as climb hills better than a 200.
200's are a lot of fun, especially with a Rekluse. However, they are also a bit of extra work to ride and can sometimes get overwhelmed on hills.

My next bike will be a 250 as well.

My trusty 200 has found a new home.

Will the EC 200's be coming to the US???

I'm not able to find the correct link right now, but if memory serves me right the 200 will be a XC type without headlights.
It was presented as a US only model, but as far as rumours tells me, it will be available in Europe as well.

Anyone heard any more news on the 200's? I'm still so torn. I've never ridden a 200 but I don't want to buy one and be disappointed after owning my 300..

I would open my wallet if they show up here and my health improves . That is the perfect size bike much nicer than my 300 .

EC and XC200

I am just returning from meetings in Spain over the weekend. I saw our EC and XC200 bikes %75 percent built, just waiting one more estimated week for the new cylinders from S3. This has been very frustrating waiting on the new cylinder molds from a vendor, trust me. I estimate now they should arrive in USA by mid to late March.

Everyone has been patiently waiting and we thank you for that. As soon as built we will be bringing 2 units in via Air. One for our female GNCC racer and one for Dirtbike magazine.

Will try to keep you posted.

So great to hear Mark!!! We appreciate the hard work you guys are putting into this for us! It hasn't gone unnoticed.

I'm really torn between the 200 and 300..

If it doesn't take much time and you are able to advise, can you confirm that the 200 will be the exact same frame and bodywork as the 250's and 300's? or will it receive its own "smaller" frame?

If the answer is slightly smaller frame I'm definitely getting the 200!

With the amount of time they had on R&D before the 18 model's, they could only do the one frame/Chassis. It is a different cylinder, head, with new cdi and ignition. Quim (lead R&D enduro) does tell me the motor is very, very nice. Coupled with the KYB suspension I expect it not to disappoint.

I had assumed as much. Thanks so much for taking the time to message back.
I'm always astounded that you guys are willing to take time to do that. One of the many things that impresses me with GasGas. :):)

I registered for the Offroad Ontario race series this morning. Pretty excited that I'll be on a new bike this year. Just gotta decide which one to get!! :D

If you guys ever need help with anything in Ontario, Canada feel free to shoot me a message. I'm always willing to volunteer to see another bike company gain more attention.
