ETA on parts?

Does anyone know if/when parts will start to resurface? I have little odds and end parts on back order for some time now and it is starting to get frustrating.

parts stocking

I received an order of parts on Monday, but there is still a large amount on back order. I have been pressuring the factory to let the distributors know a time line of when parts will start to be fulfilled again, but they are still in the restructuring mode. As you may recall, they are going from a staff of 85 plus to just 60.

I also should have a load of plastics in from Polisport direct shortly...have your dealer contact me about what parts are needed yet, maybe it is something i am trying to source or another dealer may have in stock we can transfer.

Yet another reason why you should be in contact with the dealer you're doing business with. I found 3 out of 4 requested parts last week by simply group e-mailing the dealer network. Have your dealer contact either myself or Mark.

I was actually able to source several of the items on the internet from various non-dealer sources or from other brands that cross-over. At this point, I only need those specific clips that hold the radiator shrouds together.

Read your PM's....parts are at your dealer, or already en route to you.

You know...I will be the happiest man alive when the subject of parts availability is no longer the most talked about subject here on the forum BUT... I completely understand the frustration, especially after this long, long summer and fall of not know what would happen to the brand. Nobody has slept less and worried more about keeping parts coming in and keep Gas Gas riders enjoying their bikes, than Mark and I.

So just as a reminder to everyone, please keep this in mind. Its only been a few days now since the ECIMA announcement from Torrot getting the bid for Gas Gas, and that decision coming only hours before going public. Now we're into December in which every manufacturer and supplier goes on holiday in Europe, while new management at Gas Gas still have to review the situation from the ground level, search out new suppliers and in most cases renegotiate terms with existing ones before production can begin or replenishing the hard parts inventory. In short, going from having been shut down for a year, and depleting most of the parts inventory, to having a 95% fill rate on parts orders for a global business, isnt going to happen overnight folks.

In the meantime, I offer this...

If you have a certain part that is on factory B/O, ask your dealer to e-mail me the part number. I will then blast the number out to the dealer network to see who might have that particular part. I will connect both dealers after that, and they can work out the pricing/shipping details. In the past few weeks, we have been able to locate 3 out of 4 B/O parts requests, and I was more than happy to help make it happen.

Thanks again to everyone for their patience and understanding.

Personal service goes a long way.... also people that listen to the end user on this forum. How much personal attention can you get from the big brands? Thanks to Rod and Mark for keeping us in the loop! Thanks guys!!

Shoot man...just doing it for the love :) Glad to have you on a Gas Gas!

95jersey, After you put your new clips on make sure you take some clear silicone[I like shoe goo] and smear it over the top of your clips. This will strengthen up your connection and keep you from losing the new clips. I do this to all my new bikes before I sell them. I also put a good dab of it on the 2 screws on the backside of the shrouds to keep them from backing out.

I'm just wondering if Rod sent you a couple of zip ties and a drill bit :D :D :D

...they've been holding one of my shrouds together almost as long as I've had the bike.

Ok i'm looking for a chain guides. Really the lower roller for a 1999 GG Ec250. I think it could be part # BE25610032. I only have a parts guide for 2000 and its in spanish

Funny this is what I am using now.

Actually I bent my radiator which moved the mounting points of the shroud causing the clips to fall off, otherwise they are pretty solid.

Good timing. Just ripped off my left radiator shroud on a tree today.

A little help please. My bike is down due to the clutch bleeder/banjo bolt combination.

I have one ordered through AOMC but it's on back order.

As a result will this work?

Does anybody know the thread pictch of the banjo bolt?

I'm in the US so I'd prefer something stateside so I can get it quicker.

Just found this. Anybody ahve an idea as to the thread pitch?

Considering the majority of US dealers close on Monday's (stone age thinking I know) maybe check with one of the older dealers like Matto in PA on Tuesady, I bet he has one in stock. Regardless, I am waiting to hear if there is an ETA on that part. When I know something...so will you.

This brings up something I have wanted to mention for awhile. If anyone has a question that cannot be answered by your dealer, you are welcome to send us an e-mail at info@gasgasmotos.us The response time will be much quicker.

I really appreciate that. Service is key in a retail business. I'll contact MattO tomorrow I'll be on the road all day so plenty of time.

I'm also taking the existing bolt to a place where i can figure out the thread pitch.

OK...your part is NOT on B/O. Gas Gas Motos NA has 19 of these in stock for our dealers to order. Part is shipping to your dealer today, tomorrow at the latest. Computers are down right now, so we may miss the pickup this afternoon but your dealers order has been received and the part will be on the way to VA once the MN Geek Squad fixes the crash.
