Flywheel

Hey guys i just bought a ec300 from 2001 and my friend a wild hp 300.
I was reading about flywheels on the EC300 and Wild HP 300. Saw some options on a couple websites selling heavier items. I understand Enduro drivers put extra weight on the flywheel to make it stall less and be less agressive. what options in flywheels or adjustments do we have for the EC/Wild HP to make it revv quicker and be more agressive instead of less?

Hi . I own enduros and two wilds . So first thing first . Wild engine if original engine will have balance shaft . Do you have the aluminum stator cover still with Gasgas name on it ? If so you have an old style stator cover still/ ignition system . So it is small flywheel but has extra rotor on it to power extra lighting power . So technically you have extra weight already . The enduros at some point around 2000 did away with balance shaft and some had the small mx style flywheel and then the ec models had the large flywheel setup . So need more info . I also recommend disassembling exhaust power valve and cleaning it and checking bearings . Could be your slow revs

About the wild quad...
Yes stator cover with gasgas on it indeed.
lights disconnected cause its a swap in a different frame but all wiring stull present and not sure if I wanna connect some sort of lighting in the future or …
disconnect power valve meaning? first thing I read about it…. And what are the benefits pro and cons?

Sorry was a typo . I meant disassemble power valve and clean and inspect . Not disable . It gets oil burnt on parts and they start sticking . So what do you have a Dirtbike engine or wild engine ? 2001 enduro bikes in USA got plastic stator covers . The really older enduros had the magnesium / aluminum stator covers and those also had counter balance shaft .

I have got a ec300 from 2000 and i want to put in my kawasaki mojave(quad) and my buddy have got a engine from te gas gas wild hp300.

But you are going to use the Dirtbike engine ? And not your friends wild 300 engine ? Remove the stator cover on your motor and see if it has counter balance shaft .

Yes sir... gonna use the dirtbike engine... the wild 300 engine is from my friend.
And thanks, gonna check it out later this week.

The older engines also used the mx small flywheel and stator assys . If yours has the extra aluminum round stator bolted to the big main steel one you can remove that setup to lighten flywheel for faster revs . But you might like the added weight for the quad
