You could use a powered miter saw with a regular blade if you turn the blade around backwards and work slowly. I've done that a number of times to cut very thin metal or wood.
I reckon it's got slightly less off the bottom, not too much difference, and also revs out a bit more. But not too different. About the same change as going from the right pilot and main to one step leaner so three fifths of bugger all IMO.
