footpegs

I'm also on the search for some pegs. Pivot Pegz have caught my eye as well.

Seems like no matter what pegs you buy you have to remove some material to keep it from chomping on the brake pedal. :(

We installled the Fastway F3's on my son's 2010 without doing any modifications. We have tried the pivotpegs and they feel wierd to me. I think I may be able to get use to them but it's an odd feeling for my foot to rock back and forth like they do. A friend has them on his 450R Honda and loves them; me not so much. Oh, Dave they allow your foot to rock or pitch forward and back or piviot.

Yes,
I have them for about 1 year and I love them.
The first riding is a bit strange, because of the movement, but after that you do not feel them. I see no negavis on that. A friend of mine is using them too and he told me, since he installed the Pivotpegs he stand more on the bike than before.

One of the best mods I've done, really surprised me. I bought used to try as I thought they might be a gimmick, but no. I find I can ride more aggressive, foward, more comfortably. Its a lot more natural to keep your head over the bars. Forget tall bars and submounts, these have done more for making standing up more natural.

+1!!! I bought a bike with Pivot Pegz (thanks Boomhauer) and really like them as they seem to keep me fresher throughout the day and allow me to move around easier. I never would have bought them on my own but now they are the only ones I would buy!

I rode the GGs of Boomer and GGMan with P-Pegs installed. They didn't bother to mention until afterward, however. During the ride I was marveling at how all racy and aggressive my new, lean-forward attack stance once. Loved 'em.

Still haven't bought them for my bike cuz I'm cheap.

I like the Pivot Pegs also, the only drawbacks are replacing springs and they pack with mud. They also are alot easier on the soles of your boots.

Do the pivot pegz also require grinding to clear the brake pedal/allow for folding? Are there any pegs that do not require grinding?

Yes but not much, only the rear corner needs to be trimmed off and only the area outside the structural part of the peg. All pegs need to be relieved, even the stock right side peg is cast different. Fastways are the worst, need a lot of surgery.

So pivot pegz are better than many others in regards to having to be trimmed, amount of material and structural wise?

Trimming the pegz does not affect the integrity at all.
Basically, it's the part your boot almost never touches.
Speaking of boots, the Pivotpegs will extend the life of your boot soles tenfold.

Pete406.
There are some revised springs out now that won't break. I was going through springs every 4 months.

LOL Don't say I didn't tell you so!;) That was the first mod that was done to the Berg.

There is no way I will ride without them now. And like GGman said they really do extend the life of your boots. I went through 3 pairs of boots in one year with stock pegs. I have now had my boots 3 years and no chucnks missing at all from the sole.

pivotpegs

thanks for all the great input guys. i think i"ll try a pair. How high are they in relation to the stockers?

I have had a set on my 300XC for about a year...raced all last season with them. They don't take very long to get used to and feel really comfortable. The only issue I have is I'm more rear brake monster than before...and thats bad. I have to run a very low brake pedal height but I'm hard on rear brakes.

You guys have just convinced me to go and grind down my pivot pegs from my yami. Took them off ages ago but never got around to doing the surgery. Only thing I didn't like with the pivots was the brake always being at different heights depending on body position. Can someone make a Pivot Brake? :D
