GPR stabilizer.

I had to remove the fitting on mine because of the stabilizer post. I just looped the fuel line and the PV line by the radiators. I guess what you've done makes sense if you ran through really deep water.

Robby,

We are talking about different things. The o-ring you refer to is the same as the lower T-clamp o-ring. I did what you did on both my '00 and '03 with the large bevel washer and o-ring replacing the plastic cap, like the older bikes. What I did on my '07 was use the Scotts steel cap that came with the tower with a thinner o-ring underneath. It seals between the cap and the edge of the steering neck tube. The o-rings you have will be too thick for this. I'll measure one and post dimmensions tommorrow. Not critical though, the metric or closest standard equiv. will be fine.

Either method works.

My bad Glenn I thought you did the same thing I did on my 04.

The big bevel washer we used in the past was not in stock at T&C, and I had the steel cap with the Scotts tower. A little tinkering and I found another solution.

Try this, 63mm OD x 3mm W, McMaster #9262K309.

Should fit good. I used the closest standard (#140 I believe) that we had but this should be better. I measured the stock plastic cap ID @ 62.6mm.

I am thinking of getting a Motosportz soon , and might need to see how all this is done. BTW , any reviews on a Motosportz? Thanks for any help , Steve

I spend a good deal of time on KTM Talk and the're many reviews of the Motosportz damper. Nothing but positive remarks really. A riding buddy of mine just ordered one to try.

There is only one vent line coming off the top of the right PV chamber of the cylinder. By design, the trans is also vented through this via the space that the PV linkage rod passes through. This line comes draped over the top of the rad mount and down the inner side of the rad. The frame fitting comes with the fuel cap vent line attached. I simply went with a shorty cap vent and used the frame fitting for the trans/PV vent, as seen in the photo. This may not be possible with the Motosportz tower. No big deal, you can route the vent to the top of the airbox for water protection. The left side PV chamber drain is routed down along the left frame under the ignition cover.
