How was Denmark for you? Did the earth move?

I fell in love with Copenhagen visited Roskilde but wish Id spent more time there. Off to Ukraine tomorrow but presently in Frankfurt. Spent lots of time in Switzerland. Great place.

Compare notes when we both return.

Had a great time in Morocco, 10 days on the bike in total.. Spend a couple of days with Cyril Despres, pretty fast dude. He was training for Baja and the Paris Dakar.
Out of 20 dudes, 5 ended up in hospital. Broken arm, leg, ribs, compressed vertabres etc, but nothing too serious. Very fast riding, the KTM 450 topped out at around 170km on the GPS. Scary when you are looking for another gear !
Should get some photos up soon.

BTW, did get to HB for the trials comp ?

BTW, when we arrived in Marrakesh, "Rally du Maroc" was on and I spotted the GASGAS race truck, never had a chance to check them out, tho.
Might see a GG 515 at the Paris Dakar !

Hey Kim

No I only got back this past Sunday. The weekend of the HB nationals. Spoke with my mate who reckons I missed a great weekend (it must have been I still can't get hold of the other friend who rode, probably still drunk).

Cyril was, as far as I remember, French junior trials champ.

Cyril was/is a pretty good trials rider.
Looks like trials skills is number one skill as it is easier to pick up speed skills than balancing skills.

I went out the Nationals Trials on Monday (last day) and watched. coolest thing I saw was a bunch of kids on 50cc trials bikes pooping wheelies over everything they could find. Age would have been between 5 and 7.

I think Jake won with Warren coming second. Luke (local dude) was running in 5th place when I left.

Took a couple of people out, who have never seen trials and they thought is was fantastic.

Cheers
Kim

There was an interesting thread on "another" website a while ago about trials experience and success in enduros. Try these riders:

Tadeuz Blazusiak
Tom Sager
Juha Salminen
Wayne Braybrook
Paul Edmonson
Cyril Despres
David Knight
Stefan Merriman

Do you see the pattern :p ?

I saw Steffan Merriman's old man in the weekend, still riding trials.
The rumour goes that when Steffan first started riding, the old man would not let him start the bike until he could stand on the bike for half an hour without putting his feet down.
So the kid came home from school every day and trained until he could and the old buggar would give him some gas.
