How Long Have You Been Here ?

I've been here since 2012. I was extremely active on Cafe Husky before that because my bike had constant problems. I'm happy to say that my Gas Gasses haven't given me many problems, so I usually just get on here and read everyone's ride reports, mods and news. I loved my Husky when it was running, but it's a pleasant change to come to a forum for fun and not desperately needed answers!

Member since 2009, had a 200 for a little while before I joined up. The 200 is gone now but I still have a 2006 300 and a 1997 JTX trials bike (that needs some R&R). ECs are durable bikes with good offroad manners and friendly powerband. Sure have helped me improve and have fun on the trails. My son likes it too.

Since November 2014, just after I bought my 05 EC300, I love modding it, this forum is a fantastic resource.

08 for me.. not on a gasser anymore, but still like the forum, so I lurk around..

I do have a txt 80 that I ride around the house.. fun little scoot. I needed a part for it the other day. the importer told me there were less than 10 of those imported, so ..

I would have another gasser if the right deal came around.

Still swap texts with gasgasman as we are in the same business...100% right stand up guy there.. imho..

I was on the smack over site since 98-99. I still have my 97 gas gas 250ec, and I bought a 2003 250ec from Jim at smackover. While the 03 is long gone, and I've had numerous bikes since the 97 still is in the stable. I check in on/off here but just don't have time as I'm working 60+ hours a week this year. my other bike is a KTM so its a full time job to keep it working.. been looking at adding a 2009-11 250/300 to the stable. Patiently waiting for GG to bring back a four stroke to the line up..

Aug of 2009 Right before I bought my first Gasser, I drove to Iron Pony in Ohio and met the owner, test rode it in the ditch and bought it. I'm on my 4th GasGas now. I bought my current GG through the GG forum from TNTtimber in Sonora, Ca and had it shipped. Here is the original for sale thread... http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11697

I've looked at the new ones but this one works so darn good that it is hard to justify a new one

I found and joined the Smackover site in '01 right after I bought my first new bike ever, the '00 XC250. Still the best bike I've ever had. I joined this site in '06 after the Smackover site closed.

Joined up November '13 after picking up my first GG200 from a referral off a member (and local to the OMRA forum).

I love my '11 EC200; racked up ~180ish hours on her so far and plan keep adding the hours  I'd like to think I might have the $$ to possibly pick up something new in '17, but it'd be a stretch right now; especially since I think the only bikes coming to the States next year are 300s and I want another 200 (though I might think about a 250 too).

I haven't been as active as I like lately - crazy how busy life gets; especially if there's a ton of stuff going on at work. I'm still hoping to craft a couple ride/trip reports; one of which took place at the end of May :o.

This forum has been invaluable for me, especially some jetting help from Jake and input from firfighter (and others).

I like the GG bikes so much that I sold my wife's orange 250 4T and picked up another EC200 and convinced my brother-in-law to get a EC250 (thanks to gasser's help).

I check in every day and hope to always do so :D:D

wow, reading this thread brings back lots of fond memories. I've been here since the "talking smack" forum days as well. 2002/03 or shortly after I got my first computer!
I'm on my 3rd EC300,1st one an o1,2nd one a 06 and currently a 011 estart.
All of them have been extraordinary bikes, and I'm always torn to get a new one, because I'm nervous that the "next one" wont be able to live up to the last one!
How many jap bike riders can say that about their bikes??

I'm nervous, but hoping that gasgas will rise from the ashes pile and i'll be able to have a few more in my stable before the sun sets.

Well - as I said in my previous post - our ten year anniversary will happen on july 9th. And that day is today! :)

Feb 2007 for me. I bought a 2006 250ec, sold it and got a 2011 300 Six Days and now have a 2014 300 Race ECE.

lurk now

I haven't been here in a long time since my gasser tried to kill me. The old gasser is probably sitting in my buddy's warehouse with a flat tire. Well, that's the way it was when I saw it in Nov. No interest to ride it. No more big bikes for me right now. I'm just enjoying riding around with my kids.

My nephew (honda) and my son (yamaha). Both 6 1/2.

I'm truly surprised GasGas is still hanging in there. I loved my EC200. Fun bike but those KTM's and Husky's look really nice.
