HuskY engines on Gas Gas ??

Buying the 310 engine was a smart move. Bmw was probably developing some new two stroke techology to update their line and GasGas got that with the deal.

It looks like GasGas just bought bought many years of research and development for pennies on the dollar. This should be a huge advantage for GasGas.;)
Yes, there was a new 2 stroke coming. Actually Cycle World broke that story, mid summer 2012.

I had a 2009 Husky TXC510, 2008 Husky 125/144/165. I have a 2010 Husky TC250 and my son has the 2013 Husky TC250. Other than hard to start when we first got the 2010 250 we have had zero problems with those bikes. Putting a Husky 250, 310, 450, 510, or 125 engine in a GasGas would be sweeeet!

As i heard here in Germany, the bought the husky 4t engines and the 2t technology. 2015 or 2016 they will come with a husky fired 250 and 310. Let's see what will come on the 2t. I heard about fuel injection and electrical power valve. Let's hope the best for gasgas future because they are great bikes.

Looks like this picture is gonna come true. :D:p

Don't expect to see the 449/511 engines since these were BMW supported and built by Kymco. Last I saw, CCM was using that engine platform in their new "adventure" bike.

I really liked the 449, especially the TC. Out in the desert, it was plenty fast, and back east, the riders that came out and test rode the bikes when we were doing the RiDE MORE Demo's, felt it was a better woods bike than moto.

As for the 3 new Husqvarna 2016 models that were in R&D when BMW sold the brand....well, I guess we all have to wait and see.

Don't mean to be a downer but I wouldn't hold my breath for the 4T's to be hitting U.S. soil anytime soon. It would be awesome though.

"Gas Gas Motos Hi Troy Smith!! We'll keep using our two-stroke engine, this deal is more based on the four stroke one being able to sell them on the US. On two stroke will be focused on 125cc. Regards!"

BMW did not sell their 450 engine to KTM, only the 250 and 310. The Husqvarna/Speedbrain Rally team was using the BMW 450 engine on their bikes and they had to call it quits because BMW refused to sell more of those engines. It's natural to say it's BMW technology because some level of development of this engines was done in BMW's time and with BMW's M division tech like the optimized (red) head of the 310.

So my interpretation of "Italian" engines = 250/310 x-lite, 450/510 (NOT 449/511 series), 610/630, as well as ALL 2T's? Would this be correct?
